Doubt regarding Doug Free remains in NFC East

The Cowboys called Doug Free their left tackle throughout the offseason, but Dallas' competition isn't buying it.  Philadelphia, for instance, places Free right next to Alex Barron on their Dallas depth chart, according to Matt Mosley of ESPN.

Is this job up for grabs?

The rest of the NFC East hopes not.  Mosley writes that the Eagles are convinced Alex Barron will get the left tackle job because Free isn't up to the task.  Similar feelings exist in New York and Washington, even though the teams want Free to get the gig so Trent Cole, Justin Tuck, and Brian Orakpo can take a crack at him.

We're not sure where all the disrespect for Free comes from; he performed well in limited duty last year.  But we will add fuel to the fire by pointing out that Dallas was involved in the Jammal Brown sweepstakes.
